V-Day 2011 Part 1
It was my first time to celebrate Valentine’s day as a working girl, and it wasn’t really bad at all. Thank heavens, the bosses were gone for a summit in Vietnam! We spent an our and a half on this lunch out. Hey, we’re entitled to that cos we work exxxxtra long hours! :D
Aside from ranting about stress from work, there’s this one thing that my officemates from GSK and I would always go along well with—FOOD! :D We wanted to eat somewhere new and never had tried before, then we saw Krazy Garlik at Greenbelt 5. It’s actually interesting for me cos I really like the smell and taste of garglic (not on my breath though). And it’s a great thing that I always carry my Astring-O-sol mouthwash with me. I’m always prepared for food trips like this. :D

Pizzas are always great for sharing! :D

Four Cheeses Pizza, Php 525.00 – Gorgonzola, Gruyere, Mozarella and Parmesan

Garlik Snowflakes Pizza, Php 385.00 – This is a house special with creamy base, topped with shrimps, pineapples, garlic flakes, garlic flakes, and more garlic flakes. And oh, have I already mentioned that what made this pizza extra special were the thin, crispy slices of garlic flakes as special toppings? :D There were lots of it, but they were not offensive at all to the taste buds.

Fettucine Oriente, Php 465.00 – A unique pasta dish with chinese greens and creamy seafood sauce. I’m actually not a fan of pastas on white sauce, but this one tasted really good! Too bad I didn’t have it all for myself cos everything was for sharing. Tsk! :D

Seafood Fettucine A La Diablo, Php 425.00 – The sauce and the seafood ingredients.. Ah. This is kinda like Pasta Puttanesca. Spicy pasta in tomato cream sauce, shrimps, squids, clams and mussels.
Their Fried Chicken and Crispy Pata would surely make you feel guilty especially when you’re on a diet, but boy, it’s gonna be really worth the calories.

Honey Fried Chicken (Whole), Php 575.00 – Family favorite half-fried chicken with top grade honey and fried garlic. The serving is bigger though than what’s in the image. We’ve already eaten a lot when I took the photo

Two thumbs up to the servers who were very friendly and made us feel that they were really happy with us being there. They were constantly asking us if the food is okay and if there’s anything they can help us with. We wanted to tell them that their pizza is really hard to chew, but didn’t. Hope it improves on our next visit.
Food prices are kinda expensive though. Each of us paid more than Php500. But it didn’t really matter cos I wouldn’t have a romantic date anyway. It’s just great when you order multiple dishes for sharing, you get to taste everything that’s on the table. We didn’t try their desserts though cos Tin, Macy and I wanted something really sweet so we just got some cakes from Conti’s. Never fails! :) We might come back to try their drinks and desserts, and check if it goes well with the garlicky taste of their dishes. But so far, in terms of main entrees, pizza and pasta, Krazy Garlik is definitely a dining destination that glorifies the taste of garlic! Great place to bond with your girlfriends, too! :D
