STRIKE 3 - Before anything else, it wasn’t my fault. Nadamay lang po ako. Please don’t judge me! :D

Nov 16, 2011, 5PM - I was on my way to GSK to pick up some merchandising materials Gia prepared for me. The traffic along Pasong Tamo Ext. was just slow moving. For some weird reason, I really didn’t know what happened on the other side of the road (opposite my direction). In short, lutang ako. But I was on my lane and it was made very clear during the investigation that I’m really not part of the cause of the accident. According to the drivers of the taxi and the motorcycle, the taxi was supposed to make a U-turn but it hit the motorcycle so hard. And then BAM! the motorcycle hit my car.

The guys who were riding the motorcycle (Toyota Pasong Tamo employees) were injured (got bruises, wounds, etc.). Kakaawa actually. The taxi driver is also nakakaawa in a way cos for sure, he’s gonna get scolded by his bosses and might end up losing his job.

But the real objective of this post is that I want to express how very thankful I am. Thank heavens, the motorcycle only hit the left side of the bumper and didn’t hit the window at the driver’s side (my side) cos if it did, it might have caused me a bigger trouble. Like a bruised arm, wounded leg, damaged face, etc.

Thankful that the traffic was slow moving and that a car (my car) was there, cos if it wasn’t, the ones riding the motorcyle would have hit the concrete on the other side of the road, or a fast moving vehicle, and that’s more damaging to their bodies. At least they’re safe now.

Thankful that my parents are always there to the rescue with just one call. Nothing feels better than knowing that you have people around you who care.

Okay, I think I’ve already blown this out of proportion, but really, today, I am so thankful that I’m okay. I’m still okay after the third bump in 4 months. :)
